In a few weeks Vancouver will elect a new School Board.
This is our chance to press the candidates on their support for quality and accessible French immersion programs. As has been widely reported the Vancouver School Board cut one quarter of the entire French immersion program back in May. Because of the cuts, this September 136 children were turned away from this life-changing educational opportunity. This is in addition to the estimated 400 students who were already on waiting lists in Vancouver. Unfortunately many more will be turned away in the years to come. CPF BC & Yukon is fighting alongside affected families to get this outrageous decision reversed as soon as possible. Here are three ways you can help right now. 1. Like the "Vancouver Parents For French" Facebook Page 👍 2. Ask The Candidates Questions 🔍 3. Find out How & Where to Vote ☑️ If you would like more background information, click here for our FAQ.
