Indigenous Education and Aboriginal Engagement are signature strengths of UBC’s Faculty of Education.
The research of Indigenous faculty members in Education explores the full spectrum of lifelong learning, from family and community health, literacy and math, to Indigenous languages, pedagogies, and knowledge systems.

For over 40 years, UBC has offered NITEP - a teacher education program in an environment that honours diverse Aboriginal traditions and philosophies.

To further teaching and learning for educators, we are excited to announce the following professional learning courses with a focus on Indigenous education that will take place in 2017. We hope you'll be able to join us.
  • Reconciliation Through Indigenous Education | Online MOOC
  • Aboriginal Education in Canada | UBC Vancouver
  • Ecology, Technology, and Indigeneity in the High Amazon | Peru
